St. Bridget's Cross

Sterling Silver St. Brigid's Cross

It is said that St. Brigid converted her father to Christianity while making a cross from rushes. In those early Christian times the farmers adopted the custom of making these same crosses at the beginning of spring to protect their holdings from fire by placing them in prominent positions in their houses and buildings. The tradition of making the crosses on the first of February, St. Brigid's Feast Day, continues to the present day.

Perfect as a First Communion gift or for anyone wanting a small cross. Comes with an 18" chain and boxed.  Approximately: .50"w x .50"h. Made by Solvar.

All the fine jewelry by Kathleen’s Dream is made in Ireland and Hallmarked by The Irish Government at Dublin Castle.
